Paulis Jakušonoks I was born in 1991 in Latvia. In 2010 I have graduated from a web design department of Riga Crafts college. In 2009 I joined the photo studio of Andrejs Grants where I got to know more about the history of photography as well as many great authors and started to practice urban landscape photography. After college I continued individual studies of photography because in Latvia there are no possibilities to get higher education in this field. I did a two years private course (ISSP) and actively participate in photographic events - visited exhibitions, did workshops and participated in portfolio review. Occasionally I work as a reportage photographer. My series of urban landscapes “Around” was published in a yearbook of a photography magazine “Fotokvartals”. In 2014 I had a first personal exhibition in a gallery “Māksla XO” in Riga where I exhibited 19 analogue prints. After the exhibition I am continuing to work with the same series and doing a book dummy.
