Leifur Wilberg and Kristina Petrosiute .

Leifur and Kristina are photographers both living and working in Reykjavík Iceland. Their collaboration consists of 2 individual projects that both deal with similar matters but different approach.
After attaining a degree in photography at Lette Verein Berlin, Leifur moved to Iceland to work on various photo projects and magazines. He exhibited his work in Reykjavik, Paris, Berlin and Munich. His latest work, "Subterranea" was shortlisted for the Dummy Award and exhibited at the Fotodoks Festival in Munich. Leifur is currently working on a book about Eastern European funerals to be published in 2017. Leifur is based in Reykjavik working on personal projects as well as freelance photography.
Kristina graduated from The School of Photography in 2015. Her works have been exhibited in Reykjavík, New York, London and Biel/Bienne. in 2015 she received a grant to work on a documentary project on lighthouse keepers in Iceland. Currently she is teaching at The School of Photography in Reykjavík as well as doing freelance photography.

Born in 1981 in the southwest of France, Baptiste Mourrieras lives and works between Paris and Ludwigsburg (Germany).
After studying economics, he quickly turned to photography enrolling in the Gobelins school in Paris.
His work as an author focuses on three areas that often intersect and merge: street photography, portraits and landscape.
Designed as photo essays, his series reflect a personal and intimate spin on reality. Close to « documentary fiction », the work of Baptiste Mourrieras captures reality while fortifying it with the artist’s own imagination.

Zsolt Batori

Zsolt Bátori was born in Budapest, Hungary. He earned his PhD in philosophy at Rutgers University, NJ, USA. He specializes in aesthetics and the philosophy of art, especially in the visual arts and photography. During his doctoral studies at Rutgers, Zsolt also attended a number of courses in photography, and he continues to complement and enrich his theoretical work with an active photographic practice.
Zsolt has been teaching philosophy of art and photography theory courses at various universities in the United States, Hungary, and Argentina. He is an associate professor at Budapest University of Technology and Economics and a research fellow at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. Zsolt’s current research is focused on interpreting and evaluating photographs. He has also been exhibiting internationally as a fine art photographer. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the European Society for Aesthetics and the International Association for Aesthetics.
Norman Behrendt

Norman Behrendt (Berlin, Germany 1981) is a german photographer, living and working in Berlin. He studied graphic design and photography at the University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam under Prof. Wiebke Loeper and Jan Stradtmann and is best-known for his non-conventional portraits of the Berlin’s graffiti artists.
In 2012 he majors in Photography with his longterm project ‘burning down the house’. Burning down the house won the first prize at the Fotobook Dummy Award 2013 in Kassel and got also an appreciation at the ’10th Aenne-Biermann-Prize’ for contemporary german photography in Gera in 2013. In January 2015 it got published by seltmann+söhne and within a few months the book got sold out.
Norman Behrendt’s images have been exhibited in several group and solo shows, and international photography festivals across Europe, in Germany, France, Italy, Greece, Lithuania and Ireland.

M. Scott Brauer is an American freelance photographer based in Boston, Massachusetts. Originally from Montana, Brauer attended college in Seattle, Washington. After college, he interned at American newspapers and the agencies Black Star and VII, and then moved to China in 2007 and began his career as a freelance photographer. He regularly works on assignment for international newspapers and magazines on stories ranging from politics, business, and science and technology to opiate addiction, mental health, and economic issues.

While in university I spent 2 years in a photography school and started working on photography projects. In 2014 I decided to take photography seriously and took part in the 1-year-long „Anzenberger Masterclass“ in Vienna.
My current long-term project „The Arsenic Eaters“ (2014–ongoing) traces the widespread popular belief that the consumption of arsenic, generally known to be a deadly poison, is beneficial to one’s health. The book will be released by TEC books (Netherlands) in 2017.
In May I received the „START-Stipendium“ (a grant for young artists) of the state of Austria.
In August 2016 I will take part in ISSP summer school.

Of 100% Sicilian heritage, I was born in Tunisia in 1958... but I have lived in south of France, Montpellier, since my little childhood.
Self-taught photographer, I started using black room at the age of 15. When I was 20, I had the great opportunity to be the photographer of the regiment where I made the army. I learnt a lot there how to photograph people, and my work started focusing on the Man... the Man as a representation of belonging, rarely as a social object.
My style is clearly inspired by photographers like Henri Cartier Bresson, Elliott Erwitt, Raymond Depardon... but also by the American painter Edward Hopper.
In 2000, I wrote a still unpublished novel : "Love and Chickpeas Soup".
In late 2005, I decided to leave the company where I was employed, in order to devote myself exclusively to photography... and so begin a photographic artist full-time career.
To date, the series “Homo Urbanus Europeanus” is my biggest artwork.

Born in 1979, Margaret Dearing is a French fine art photographer, living and working in Paris. She graduated from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Arts de Paris-Cergy in 2001, then from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie, in Arles, in 2004. Her groups of photographs are concerned with questions linked to landscape, revealing temporal and formal relations between natural and man made spaces, representing an environment which seems difficult to live in.

Boris Eldagsen

Berlin-based German artist Boris Eldagsen studied photography and visual arts at the Art Academy of Mainz, conceptual art and intermedia at the Academy of Fine Arts, Prague and fine art the Sarojini Naidu School of Arts & Communication Hyderabad, India. In addition, he studied philosophy at the Universities of Cologne and Mainz. 2013, he participated in a Roger Ballen Masterclass.

Dawne Fahey was born in Melbourne and lives in Sydney. Dawne is a practising visual artist, and a part time PhD student at Western Sydney University - School of Humanities and Communication Arts. Her research focuses on the use of historical photographic processes and practice and auto-ethnography as a means to visualise empathy.
In her personal work, Dawne is particularly interested in creating fine art and documentary photographs, urban and country landscapes, and fine art photography books. Dawne originally studied Black & White Photography a number of years ago before taking up mixed media arts and more recently has rekindled her love of hand made prints by studying alternative photographic printing processes in New York and Australia.
Dawne's work highlights an intense curiosity between self and other, in an exploration of the intersection between cultural immersion, light, identity, landscape, personal meanings, time and sensability. Since graduating from Glasgow School of Art in 2015 I have been working on a major new body of work, made in part for the Royal Scottish Academy's New Contemporaries exhibition at the RSA Galleries, Edinburgh in March 2016. Working primarily with photography my work begins as a response to historical or cultural signifiers. Using text and found objects alongside photographs and archival material I am drawn to make work about forgotten places and histories.

He is self-taught and committed to the medium of photography and to the Lumen Collective. I began my life as a photographer a bit late, after my struggle to find myself in engineering I finally decided to follow my Father's footsteps and pursue my love for photography. My professional career is as a graphic designer, but photography is a special, unique way to control and mitigate my bipolar condition. It is my personal treatment and many of my works are deeply influenced by my changing and contradicting mood states. As it is for many of my work is cathartic and a declaration of pride about my condition; my art pieces try to talk about my country, our wars, our pain, our dreams, our cultural melting pot and our never ending search for meaning. The other ever-present theme in my work is the concept of role as a cultural creation which has little relationship to human beings and is the fruit of powers in some specific space and time. I don’t believe I create photographs, instead I think I build images using photographic medium and techniques as a part of the process of giving material sensate structure to concepts and ideas. I deeply admire artists able to capture meaningful instants allowing them to stand in time. But as a creator, I see myself more like an artisan, like a designer who plays with ideas, thoughts, cultural values and pressures; who attempts to balance tensions, tones, shapes in the pursuit of visual pieces that are imagistic in their deepest nature, but beyond the act of capture alone.

I was born in 1991 in Latvia. In 2010 I have graduated from a web design department of Riga Crafts college. In 2009 I joined the photo studio of Andrejs Grants where I got to know more about the history of photography as well as many great authors and started to practice urban landscape photography. After college I continued individual studies of photography because in Latvia there are no possibilities to get higher education in this field. I did a two years private course (ISSP) and actively participate in photographic events - visited exhibitions, did workshops and participated in portfolio review. Occasionally I work as a reportage photographer. My series of urban landscapes “Around” was published in a yearbook of a photography magazine “Fotokvartals”. In 2014 I had a first personal exhibition in a gallery “Māksla XO” in Riga where I exhibited 19 analogue prints. After the exhibition I am continuing to work with the same series and doing a book dummy.

Graduated from Superior School of Journalism of Lille (France), I mainly work as a photographer of architecture within public projects and for private companies.
Since 2011, I’m running a personal project dedicated to the place of history, conflicts and individuals in the representations of urban landscapes. By extrapolating the codes and stereotypes which underlie the depictions of contemporary architecture, this work explores the distance between imaginary cities and the reality of places. It particularly focuses on capitals that have been targeted for ideological reasons, such as Sarajevo, Phnom Penh or Beirut.
It has been exhibited, amongst others, in Brazil (International Festival of Photography of Belo Horizonte, 2015 and 2016), in Cambodia (PhotoPhnomPenh, 2015), in Spain (Getxophoto, 2013), in Switzerland (Biel Festival of Photography, 2011), etc.
My first monograph, titled “Coming shortly: Sarajevo”, is published by Les Editions Intervalles (Paris, 2016).
Adrien Leguay

Adrien Leguay lives in Rennes, France. His work is a mixture of biographical events and plastic works. He discovered film photography in 2013 and has been practicing it since then in addition to digital photography.
The major part of his photographs are narrative and relate to dream. They are inspired by the language of cinema, whether it be plot or light configuration. He produces both personal biographical and with an artistic intention photographs (photo series, plastic projects).
In the automn 2014, Adrien is selected as one of the finalists of New York Photo Festival. He exhibits in Brooklyn, as a part of the PhotoWorld 2014: Breaking Photography, his series The Cellulose Beings.

A Canadian born photographer and printmaker, Philip LePage is a 1996 BA (Art History) graduate of the University of British Columbia. Marc Augé argued “that we are in transit through non-place for more and more of our time, as if between immense parentheses…." Philip LePage explores these non-places, subways, paths through parks and underpasses, the edges of the man-made and natural world and how they reflect and shape identity and social relationships: What these ‘parentheses’ say about the way we interact with each other, nature and the world we have created.

Born in Strasbourg (France) and now based in Cambridge (UK), I hold a BA in Visual Arts from the University Paris 8 and graduated from a Master’s degree in Photographic Studies at the University of Westminster (London, UK) in 2014. I also completed a six months artist residency at Cambridge Anglia Ruskin University. My moving image work has been screened and exhibited in various places in the UK such as the gallery Ambika P3, the Institute of International Visual Arts and the Regent St Cinema. My work was short-listed for the 2015 edition of the French festival Les Nuits Photographiques and received a "Special Mention" in 2016 during the event La Nuit de L'Instant in Marseille, France.

Born in 1980, Julien Lombardi studied first ethnology. He turned to photography eventually as a means of achieving an artistic investigation. His artistic approach to the medium transforms reality into a scenic spaces. His staging of the ordinary creates a simulacrum, and the neutral elements of our daily lives take on new meanings. Themes like territory, identity, memory and the organization of space are always present in his work. He use photography as a tool to probe what isn’t visible or is about to vanish.
His series are regularly exhibited in festivals like Circulation(s), Athens Photo or Medphoto. Also in galleries, art centers and shows. His work is part of collections such as BNF and Chateau d’Eau in particular. His work has received honors including the Bourse du Talent, the Marco Pesaresi Award 2015 and was finalist of the HSBC Prize for Photography 2016.

Lucie Jean lives and works in eastern Paris.
Alternating between documentary and contemplative approach, the photographic work of Lucie Jean focuses primarily on registration of traces of human in nature with a predilection for the aquatic element that gives his compositions - yet extremely rigorous formal - a powerful sense of unreality.
She participates in artist residencies in Quebec, Finland, Japan and Iceland.
In 2016, Quartiers d’hiver (Winter Quarters), executed in 2015 on the occasion of her residency and exhibition at the contemporary art center Langage Plus in Northern Quebec, is presented during the Rencontres photographiques d'Arles to the gallery Les Comptoirs Arlésiens (that she integrated in 2103), and in the Rencontres photographiques d'Arlon in Belgium (as one of the two guests of honor).
Between 2014-2015, her serie Pluie noire (Black Rain) is presented to the gallery Les Comptoirs Arlésiens during the Rencontres d'Arles, also to the National Library of Paris (BNF), to the House of Photography of Lille, during the 6th International Festival of Photography of Dali (Yunnan, China).

Matthias Koch is a self-taught artist and photographer originally from Germany. He lived and worked in Chile, Venezuela, Mexico and France and currently established his basecamp in Paris.
He graduated from Offenburg University in Germany, where his major was Management and Economy which means that he has no special education in photography, which results in an a very free and unconventional approach.His photography is driven by his personal search for meaning and understanding of the surrounding world. Photography is for Matthias a tool for philosophical investigation and research of truth as well as a vehicle for artistic expression. The interaction between Humans, Space and Time and the underlying concept of Impermanence is one of his favorite subjects.
Since 2006, he extended his imagination towards fine art and conceptual projects. He recently started a cooperation with the French philosopher Claude Molzino, combining text and photographs. His work has been published in German and French print and online magazines.

Mexican visual artist, photographer, who lives in France and Mexico since 2000. She obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Marseille in 2007. The following year, she wins a grant, Jóvenes Creadores from the FONCA in Mexico. As a selected artist in residence at Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie d'Arles between 2009 and 2010, she continued to develop her conceptual approach. She received the award of La Maison Blanche and Phot'Aix Public Award. In 2014, she obtained the Quinzaine Photographique Nantaise Award with The Valley.
Her work has been shown internationally in France, Germany, Serbia, The Netherlands and Thailand.
She also has published works in the press (Télérama, Picnic Magazine, El País) and she has collaborated with international Festivals such as Festival de Théâtre d'Avignon and the Festival International du Cinéma de Marseille.
Through her work, she questions the authenticity of images. Her photos evolve from a choreographed scene to a quasi-documentary approach. A certain ambiguity remains between straight forward documentation and fiction. The line with reality is blurred and the viewer is confronted with poetic moments.

After an important and challenging workshop in Berlin with Sara Munari, in October of 2012, I decided to attend evening studies at the Italian Institute of Photography in Milan, where I won a scholarship in 2013 and the Project Book in 2014.

My fascination in photography I started a few years ago. In the meantime, I completed study multimedia graphics and photography in Warsaw. My photography is a combination of grays and emotions. In 2011, I set my goal that I will only practice and develop in black and white. I deal mainly reportage and document, I like it. And I hate posed photos. To this day, I had two solo exhibitions in Warsaw (Poland). My dream is to show my photos in the U.S. and Japan.
Most of my photographic awards (including 3rd place as the Deeper Perspective Photographer of the Year + over a dozen podium places in contests around the world) are associated with perhaps the biggest music festival in the world where in 2011 were over one million people: Woodstock Festival in Poland. In 2015, I documented the festival for the fifth time. It was to be the last time, but I think this year also I will take the camera. It works like a magnet.
In March 2013, I started with my new project: Vieworld Photo Magazine. Vieworld focuses on documentary photography, street and photo series shown in grayscale. This project really made me developing, and a few thousand readers is a beautiful thing together with it!

Nicolas LANDEMARD is somehow a survivor. Born in France, raised in Africa. Went through studied history and political sciences, he embraces professional photography late.
An art to which he was introduced very early into a family photo fans. Went through the school of the assistantship, he quickly launches as a freelance and works so that in institutional and press. Alternating different projects, he uses all the techniques of photography according to its desires and its research. Far from being confined to what he does, hating the boxes and labels, he held since this unsettling ability to not be where we expect; reportages, portraits, illustrations, black and white, color ... Je ne vous présenterai ici aucun CV ou parcours pro...puisque je n'en ai pas , je vais plutôt essayer de vous raconter ce que me fait vivre la photo depuis deux ans.
J'ai toujours eu un petit boîtier à tripoter, mais je n'ai jamais pris le temps d'apprécier la Photo à sa juste valeur jusqu'à ce qu'un accident de la vie me fasse trébucher et tomber face à elle.
Mais c'est surtout la photo de rue qui m'a atteint et m'a poussé à aller chercher plus loin et prendre cette décision avec le pari de vivre d'une de mes passions.
On le dit souvent la rue est le miroir de notre société, mais moi j'adore regarder changer ses reflets et essayer de les capturer ! J'y ai passé de longs moments étant plus jeune, toutes mes « perm » à l'internat c'était pour aller se cogner des baby et toute la panoplie des années 90, mon premier métier m'y a fait passé beaucoup de moments sous toutes les conditions. J'y ai vu les lumières changer tout au long des journées, les choses se« mettre en place » et j'adorais ça sans savoir pourquoi...
J'en ressors frustré de temps à autre, heureux la plupart du temps et enrichit à chaque fois.
Se laisser attirer par un bruit, réchauffer par une lumière, rencontrer un inconnu qui se révèle être un personnage extraordinaire…laisser passer le temps et le prendre comme il vient en fait.

Photography for Davide Palmisano is a sensitive tool to depict reality - or its fragments - that he uses to interpret his perception in a candid way. The medium becomes a channel to stimulate the emotional dimension of the viewer.
In his expressive practice he focuses on researching suggestion and representing moods as a visual response to his feeling when observing a situation; the images thus conceived portray an 'inner landscape'. In 2014, he was awarded a Smithsonian Institution Artist Fellowship and was also nominated for a 2015 USA Artists Fellowship.
In 2013, his monograph Yonkeros was published by La Fabrica Editorial (Madrid). Also, in 2013 he was nominated for the Prix Pictet and awarded an NFA Fellowship from the National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures.

Rafa Raigón

Rafa Raigón born in 1976 in Cordoba, Spain.
He studied sports science in Granada, Spain, and later on Theater in Cordoba, Spain.
In 2009 he moved to Berlin with his family. The difficulty to perform in German made him pick up a camera to illustrate that what he could not express due to the language barrier.
Since then, being completely self-taught, he has been developing his work and skills through festivals such as PA-TA-TA in 2012 held in Granada, “full-contact” within the festival SCAN 2012 in Tarragona or EI AWARD in Braga 2015.
His work has been exhibited in Berlin in 2014 and 2015 and will be exhibited in Lecce, Italy, in September 2016.
Philippe Renaud

Renaud Philippe (1984) grew up and lives in Quebec City, Canada. As a freelance photojournalist and member of Kahem collective, Renaud has travelled far and wide in Haiti, India, Nepal, Thailand, Kenya, Tunisia, and Canada. Renaud is following the threads of pressing themes like social exclusion and exile, forging connections through his art with those forced by war, injustice, and natural disaster to leave everything behind. He is represented in Europe by Hans Lucas.

My name is Liubov, but my friends call me Liuba as it is less official and less meaningful. I was born in Leningrad and then I did all the «proper steps» to become a grownup individual (went to school and graduated from a University, changed a few jobs, adopted a dog and a parrot, etc.). Educated engineer I currently have a full time job as a manger, seeking for an inspiration in the everyday routine of a megapolis inhabitant. I have never thought of myself as a photographer and in fact I would prefer to avoid being one. For me to take a picture is a casual gesture of appreciation of the world around, an adventure I take with my eyes, a way to catch things on the edge of existence. I would say that for me photography is a way to incorporate child’s play into everyday life.

Graduate of the Krakow University of Economics where she studied International Relations and also a graduate of the Warsaw National Defence Academy. She has also taken part in all three editions of EASTREET (2013, 2014, 2015) – an international exhibition of street photography from Eastern Europe.
She is a freelance photographer who cooperates with one of the largest Polish photo agencies – Forum Agency. Her career began when she documented the effects of an earthquake in Haiti and a flood in Poland. She is currently focused on personal topics related to life and working conditions in Poland, India and Sudan and is also covering the current refugee crises. Member of UN-POSED street photography collective and 14&15 mobile photographers collective.

Thom Sanchez - french photographer and videographer - has lived and worked in Buenos Aires for the last seven years. Upon completing his masters program at Ecole Nationale Supérieure Louis Lumière in Paris, he decides to adventure to this new location with the intention of steering away from the classic conception of documentary photography.
His creative drive comes from experimenting, investigating and confronting himself - via the use of vanguard techniques and mediums - in order to immerse himself in the constant development of new possibilities in the language of images.

My work explores the underlying psychological patterns of urban landscapes through image-based installations and site-specific documentation.
I visit places that for one reason or other do not enter conventional urban logic - yet they are part of our cityscapes. These vary from urban areas that went far from their original function, to sparsely inhabited (but not abandoned) cities or utopian architectures. I start my work with exploration to produce documentation that later becomes the raw material for my interventions, videos, installations.

Working as a graphic designer, electronic music composer, photographic painter: I have always admired the way the drama of the ever-changing landscape evolves over time - with the shifting of light, the effect of wind, the viewing of different points of perspective. I am not content to capture one frozen moment alone but am driven to find a way of expressing the shift of time and place in that one image.
My images are a combination of many photos, taken from slightly varying angles and of course, across a short period of time. The combination of these many impressions create a juxtaposition of parts that make a whole, yet show the parts in various aspects of viewing. Clouds drift, tree limbs move, the cliche is no longer.

Charlie Simokaitis was born and lives in Chicago, IL. He received a BFA in photography from the University of Illinois and an MFA from the Hartford Art School. The element of water is often present in my shots, whether in the form of rain, tears or humble public swimming pools. Water cleans, soothes and swallows, becoming the only escape.

Born in 1977 in Spišská Nová Ves. In 2004 she received a graduate degree at Academy of Fine arts and Design in Bratislava. During her studies she experimented with different kinds of art media. She shot a few video works using photographs, for example, Annual Report (2002), Funeral Hearts (2003). Towards the end of her studies she started to work more with digital photography, although in her case it reflects painting as media. That is also when her graduation project, the collection, The Eternal Truth, was created. For this work, in 2004, she received the rector’s award. Maarten Tromp

Filmmaker and photographer Maarten Tromp (Amsterdam, 1980) studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Art in The Hague. Political and social issues constitute recurring themes in his work, with a very personal approach. His photographic essay made in the streets of Amsterdam East was published as the book 'The neighbour, his ex & the owner of the launderette' (2008) and his series about the Volkskrant building in Amsterdam was published as the book '-1 tot 7' (2012). Currently he is working on his first feature-length film about surveillance.
For his series 'Groups' he received the 2nd Prize at the Dutch photography awards Bouw in Beeldprijs 2009. Maarten Tromp's photographs and films were exhibited at FOTODOK and Fotofestival Naarden, in the Cobra Museum of Modern Art, Filmhuis Den Haag and Nieuw Dakota.

Aleandro Tubaldi was born in Recanati, Italy in 1985. He majored in literature University of Rome “La Sapienza”. Then he moved to London where he studied cinema at the London Film Academy. In 2009 he moved to Brazil where he devotes to his passions: film-making, photography and caipirinha. Between 2010 and 2012 he made two features documentaries: Chi Animale?, about countryside life in the center of Italy, and The Wide Door (2012) , filmed in a Brazilian female detention center and selected for the 36a Mostra Internacional de Cinema de Sao Paulo. In Brazil he also made several short-films, like Christine (2009), Iguaçu (2010) and Notes on a Night of Samba (2011). From 2012 he devotes more to photography. In 2014 Aleandro moved to Tunis, where he lives and works. From 2015 he's been developing photographic projects about the cities of Bangkok and Tunis.

Jan Dirk van der Burg (1978) photographs and films. He also creates books and in addition to Twitter biographer he is also the national authority on Olifantenpaadjes, the Dutch term for desire lines, the shortest route from A to B.
His most well-known work is the book of photographs Olifantenpaadjes/Desire Lines (2011), both an optimistic indictment of an abuse of the landscape and an ode to the shortest way to get from A to B. He also compiles the best Twitter accounts in the Netherlands in autobiographical anthologies in the ongoing series Tweetbundels. His graduation project in 2004, a series about office culture, landed him in a photographic niche of public hearings, meetings and classes. The world under the modular ceiling.

Diane Vincent lives in Berlin, and works both as an artist and freelance photographer for national and international magazines and clients. In her work she follows the impulse to expand, whether into places she finds in the physical world or into inner spaces. To make books is one of her passions.
Vincent’s first self-published photobook OBEN was shortlisted for a book award at the Unseen Photofair in Amsterdam, selected for LensCulture ‘Photobooks of the Year 2014’, and has since been featured in several exhibitions. Vincent released her second publication i join the crystal-eyed turtle’s hand as a limited edition in December 2015.

Fiona Weir (GB) was born in 1973 and grew up in The Netherlands, England and the South of France. She currently lives and works in Rotterdam. In 1999 she finished her studies in printmaking and painting at the Royal Art Academy of The Hague. She continued her studies at The Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam where photography and film became a means for her to explore the aesthetics of normality and reality. Her playground covers a sympathy towards the wonderment of a place. She's interested in capturing 'potential' places. She stumbles upon them, almost unaware of the place itself when she takes the picture. Only later, she inquires what is behind or beyond the original depiction or condition of the image and determines what will be seen. The locations photographed are reloaded, made ready for a new reality to occur.

But more importantly, my dad instilled in me a sense of curiosity and adventure. It is these traits that truly make me a photographer.
In fact, to this day, one of my father’s favourite expressions is, “You never know if you never go.” I’ve adopted this saying and made it my maxim — my life’s philosophy — that I carry with me every day.
I call my photographic style “Choose Your Own Adventure Photography” after the books I used to read as a young boy. Literally and creatively, I can go one direction and discover a remarkable photographic opportunity; or I can go another way and find something entirely different. It is this serendipity that is the beauty of picture making for me.

Was born in Kaliningrad, Russia in 1984. Studied at Institute of Contemporary Art in Moscow (2013), at the Department of Social Philosophy at Russian State University for the Humanities (2011) and at Immanuel Kant State University of Russia (2006). As an artist he prefers to work with photography and, occasionally, with video. He is special interest in research related to the correlation between visual structure of the city and its impact on the non-urban landscape.

Anna Zagrodzka (b. 1991, Warsaw). Graduated from the Technical University of Lodz (Faculty of Biotechnology and Nutrition Science) and has an honour degree in Photography at Cinematography Faculty at the Film School in Lodz. Held internships at the Manchester Museum, Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchaster and Zachęta National Gallery of Art in Warsaw. Laureate of ShowOff during the Photography Month in Cracow (2015). She has participated in photography’s exhibitions in Warsaw, Lodz, Cracow and Wroclaw. Her work combines photography with video and sound.

I am interested in how people from different walks of life come to live together in a particular place. The congregation of people creates a multi-layered society which exist in cities throughout the world. My work is an exploration of this complicated and multi-layered world.
