The places photographed, either natural or urban, have this particular quality of seeming completely familiar whilst it is absolutely impossible to precisely locate them. The framing is meticulous to obtain something indefinite, showing spaces where it is particularly difficult to apprehend limits : a building in a social housing complex, a park, thrown away bread on the sidewalk, a homeless person's mattress, a group of people looking at the city : many fragments that seem to index a continuum from which they have been extracted. So, beyond the portion of territory from which they have been withdrawn, what is represented, by omission, is an entire man altered environment, the frame refusing to delimit a space to suggest its immense expanse.
