This series of photographs is a personal record of a journey to my hometown. I explore the traces of the past as a traveler in my own country, and hope to recall memories of places which no longer look familiar. I left my country in 2007. In this work I focus on the alienation of returning home. I observe changes the city has undergone and use them as a metaphor of personal transformation. The images were taken in years 2014 - 2016 in Łódź, Poland. The project is currently being exhibited as part of New Photographers Guild programme in association with Street Level Photoworks in Glasgow, Scotland.
